About Chef Vishner
Hey there,

I'm Chef Vishner, your Culinary Arts teacher. This is going to be my sixth year teaching at Westinghouse and seventh year teaching in a school setting. Before I started teaching I spent the better part of a decade cooking in award-winning restaurants in Boston and Washington DC. If you are interested there are some links below so you can check them out.
I received my Bachelor's degree from St Mary's College of Maryland in the Business of Culinary Preparation and Presentation. After I started teaching I went back and got my Masters of Education from Concordia University majoring in Career and Technolgy Leadership and minoring in CTE Curriculum and Instruction.
When I'm not teaching or cooking I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids as well as going hiking, paddling, rafting, and kayaking.

If you'd like to know more about my educational philosophy check out this link to a guest blog I wrote for the American Federation of Teachers website, AFT Voices, Why I Teach.
